Our daily reading instruction includes time for guided and independent reading. It also includes differentiated learning/instruction where students work in learning stations that help reinforce vocabulary and practice reading skills needed. Many of my students are excited and motivated about reading and they truly enjoy accessing personalized learning programs to help meet their individual needs. Although many of these programs can be accessed outside of the classroom many of my students do not have their own technology devices. In fact, within the classroom we are faced with the dilemma of limited access because we have only four stationary computers. My goal this year is for students to improve their reading level by at least 1 grade level. Because, our current classroom has only four stationary computers integrating technology effectively to meet all of my students needs remains a challenge.
