As with any classroom, my classroom consist of a variety of different students, backgrounds, culture, and home life. Many of my students strive to be successful. I have some that require more encouragement. I work hard to teach my students life lessons. They are reminded failure is not always a bad thing because it's in those moments we tend to see where an adjustment needs to be made and we can grow the most. My classroom has been blessed with flexible seating options. The students have options to choose from when asked to complete their work. Some of my sweet ones have anxieties, sensory needs, and can become overstimulated very easily. I teach a lot of coping skills lessons and encourage my students to use calming stratgies and their words when they become upset or frustrated with difficult things in their life. My students enjoying being able to move while learning. My students are amazing and are growing!
