These materials will make a huge difference in the children's learning. Their reading levels cover a wide range and our current classroom library does not. We need books that are as diverse as the children's reading levels in order to practice the necessary skills to progress with reading skills. In order to differentiate instruction, I will need resources to meet each of the different levels the children are presenting. My school uses Guided Instruction in order to meet the specific needs of the children. During Guided Instruction, the children are split up into homogenous groups and work on specific skills. This is crucial time for the children to hone in on their skills as well as prime time for me to provide small group instruction.
