This year in our classroom we have to get creative with how we can fit all of the students in our classroom while remaining safe and socially distanced. There are not enough desks in the school to have every classroom have them. I also wanted to keep some of the flexible seating options that I already to keep flexibility and choice within the classroom. With that, I had to get some lap desks for the floor to accommodate all the students in the classroom and the limited space we have to do so. I had to get some floor desks and got some gym mats to sit on to make it more comfortable, but we are finding that it is still a bit uncomfortable for some. I would love to get some small chairs/ seats for them to sit on at the floor to make it a little for comfortable while taking up minimal amount of space. When the pandemic is over we can easily add these to flexible seating choices and students can move around the room and sit in the seats to work!
