My students need lots of games and interaction through play so they can develop their Spanish language acquisition while having fun and interacting with peers and use the new and exciting vocabulary they just learned in whole group lessons and read alouds. I see them trying every day new words and new vocabulary in Spanish. The games I am requesting will be used during center time in Math and in Science. The Math Games are hands on materials and will help my students develop their number sense and addition and subtraction skills they need to be succesful in first grade as well as set the foundation for Mathematics instruction they will encounter in their school live. The games would also help them interact with peers and support their Spanish vocabulary, they need to be proficient in Spanish so they can start formal instruction in Language Arts in Spanish later on and in following elementary grades. The Science games and centers will be used during the Language Target (Spanish) centers and will give my students the opportunity to apply the Science vocabulary in Spanish they just learned in whole class instrucción. I would love for my students to want to come to school everyday happy and knowing that learning another language is awesome! I want them to have fun at school so their learning process is a succes!
