My school is a fairly large primary school with over 800 students in pre-k-2nd grade. My students are energetic, active, and creative students that need to be encouraged and supported to reach their potential. As a newer teacher and with switching to a new school in my district, I am in need of books to help instruct my students in literacy skills and comprehension of the world around them. Having a wide variety of books to teach standards and skills allows students to have a more diverse learning experience. Kids don't get nearly enough time to be creative and artistic in the classroom I hope to change that with my STEAM philosophy. Having students learn about art is an excellent way to have them learn literacy and math skills too! I implement STEM challenges every Friday and have brain breaks throughout the day to help my students do their best.
