Working with students of varying academic, social and emotional needs; learning that no one student is the same or needs the same thing to be successful. The challenges we face each day in the classroom include teaching the students in ways that meet their individual learning styles. Each classroom I enter, I strive to create a community. We start and end our days with circles which allow my students to share their feelings in a safe place. My students embrace the challenges of our curriculum. I strive to be a culturally responsive teacher; making the curriculum relevant to my students. Kiddos learn best when they are interested in what they're learning... and it is my job to make learning exciting for my students!
