In kindergarten, community learning time is very important for building social and academic skills. Our meeting place is used throughout the day to do calendar activities, partner activities, share student work, sing songs, have morning meetings and listen to books read aloud. The carpet from Lakeshore Learning will promote learning while giving each student a special spot of their very own in the classroom. It will also help with classroom management by allowing students to focus on their learning rather than on each other. By having a classroom carpet in our meeting place, each student will have their own personal space to focus on their learning.
