I teach in a large, urban Kindergarten through 8th grade school with a large population of students with special needs and other health impairments. All of the students receive free breakfast and lunch. Moreover, the students have diverse background and various family situations. Some of my students have special needs that impede their learning on a daily basis. Unfortunately, these struggles prove to be too much for them. They get frustrated and they lack the motivation for learning.
