My students have a daily time where we practice spelling out words with the phonics concepts we are learning. During this time, we are practicing skills that will make us better readers as well as spellers. We also have times where we draw out our math to help us solve problems. We usually use mini whiteboards, but the markers get dried out or the tips pushed in. Having these Boogie Boards will help us solve the dried out marker, and too many scrap papers problem in our classroom. We will save money on the markers and erasers we go through very quickly, and save some trees by using less pieces of paper to help solve problems. These boards will also be a great way to quickly show answers to pop quiz questions so everyone can have a chance to answer them.
