My band is made up of students from Davenport North High School in Davenport, Iowa. We never turn any students away from participating in our program due to their/their parents' lack of funds. These are all very hard working students who have learned to do more with less due to poor funding from the district (our district is in the middle of a massive state mandated budget reduction). We perform at football games, parades, basketball games, concert band concerts, the spring musical, etc. There is so much that is expected from our students even we aren't getting the help/funding that we need to run the program. Despite all of this, the students always rise to the challenge and put on great performances!

About my class
