My kiddos love to build with all different kinds of materials. Little cups, popsicle sticks, note cards, clay, small food items and seasonal objects. I would like to add onto our block play with the purchase of specialized block sets that would help us build with simple machines such as pulleys, wedges, and screws. Kids would get to see how simple machines make work easier. My students would get a hands-on experience with cause and effect as they raise and lower objects on an elevator. move blocks on a conveyor belt and more. They will gain insight into how full size machines make big jobs easier. The kids would also be able to create their own structures and try new things with these block sets.
