The ten TI-84 graphing calculators will be used daily in my Algebra I math classes. With the Common Core standards and enhanced rigor, students are now required to think more critically, and apply their knowledge to real-world math problems that require the proper technology. Learning how to utilize graphing calculators in an Algebra I class introduces my students to critical thinking skills that are required in upper-level classes (Geometry, and Trigonometry) and are transferable across other content areas. The graphing calculators will allow my students to attack more challenging questions and it will prepare them for college level assignments and real world activities.
