The Kindle Fire tablets will be used on a daily basis for guided reading. We will also use them for math and science. My school has access to Reading A-Z books in which my students love. The stories are colorful and engaging. The students are currently reading the stories in black and white. I know the students would be thrilled to be able to read these stories in color all while using technology. In first grade, students are learning to research information and write informational papers. It would be amazing to watch six and seven year olds do their own research like the "big kids" do on computers. Your generous donation to our project will improve our first grade classroom by building stronger readers. This will change our students' lives for the better. They will love school and feel success at an early age.
