Because of the diverse populations of learners that we serve, we need to be innovative, unique, and relentless in our pursuit of appropriate materials. The challenge that we embrace with our diverse student population is that we need to make rigorous content and language accessible to students who aren't fully proficient yet. If we settle for lower-level material instead of differentiating to make grade-level​ content comprehensible, we will not get our students to achieve at the level expected of them in the standards. Engaging materials would help greatly in our pursuit of reaching all students and expecting high levels of performance from them.

About my class
