Hi there! I am a second grade teacher at Manuel J. Cortez Elementary School. It is a Title 1 school and we have 100% free/reduced breakfast and lunch for the students. We are located in a high poverty area where families have opportunities to receive help, from programs within our school, with groceries and school uniforms. I have a class of 16 students and 90% of them are English Language Learners whose parents primarily speak Spanish.
