Our school is a Title I school that has many children that just need to be loved! Our students sometimes go home to empty houses, do not know where their next meal will come from, and have older siblings as their parents. These students need love, affection, attention, and to know that someone out there not only cares about them but believes in them! It pains me to think that the only hug or praise my students receive are from me, as their classroom teacher.
