Just like at home, in my classroom, I promote an atmosphere of safety, trust, honesty, and respect. I work hard to build a sense of community among my students because school is our home away from home. I also emphasize the idea of teamwork. "Team Gerardi" should mean that our classroom works together to help support and encourage each other so that we can achieve our personal best in a positive and safe environment. In doing so, I value cooperation and collaboration both in my classroom and as I work with my peers. I believe that great things can happen when we work together! Berne Union is a place where I really feel like part of a strong community and part of a winning team!
