My students are second graders in a Pre-K through third grade elementary school in the Western Mountains of Maine. Our school's population is approximately 400 with a free/reduced price lunch population of approximately 60%. Many students and their families are unaware of the richness of our local history, the many artifacts that are in our historical society, and the stories of the landmarks they drive by everyday.
