"Sit still!” I found myself saying that more and more to my students this year. I knew that I needed to change my seating options because it wasn't meeting the needs of my students. Keeping a child’s attention during instruction can be difficult, let alone doing so when that child has autism, ADHD or some other learning disability. My students need to move! Their body craves the movement. The wobble chairs will allow my students to focus all of their energy on learning rather than on sitting still. They will release energy while they are simultaneously working. The wobble chairs will let my students move and adjust in a way that is non disruptive. It will allow them to have their unique sensory needs met and therefore making them more attentive during instruction. I look forward to the day when I can say "stop sitting still"
