My students are in need of science and social studies reading materials that tie in with our hands on activities and projects. Despite the many challenges for students today, my students have a love of learning and reading. This thirst for knowledge has led to a need of grade level and standard appropriate materials to read during small group science and social studies instruction. These donated books will help students continually spark a love of reading while integrating science and social studies into the classroom. We have many fun interactive projects planned including: designing a skate board park while looking at energy and speed, experimenting with morse code, looking at ways to improve monitoring systems for earthquakes, designing innovative musical instruments after reading about the Chumash Indians and their traditions, and even panning for gold. Your generous donation can make all things possible!
