My first grade students are vibrant and eager to learn. They come from an urban area. The majority of the school qualifies for free or reduced lunch and breakfast. Several students in my class have IEPs and receive special services. Two students have been diagnosed with ADHD and do not take medication. Many of the students come from single-parent homes and/or English is their second language.
