Our program is a Day Treatment program for students with special needs. Our population is quite diversified and over 90% qualify for free/reduced price lunches. Our students face many challenges in their lives so our program focuses on providing a nurturing and safe environment where our students get individual education plans (IEP) that focus on developing skills that will help them be successful in their school, home and life. Although they have challenges, our students come to school because they get specialized attention and they feel safe. Our students enjoy learning, but they also enjoy physical motor breaks during the day in order to release some of their energy. Unfortunately, our current facility does not provide that outlet for them nor do we have necessary equipment of resources to provide indoor type physical activities.
