Hello! Students in my classroom are able to participate in center time for 25 minutes at the end of every day. Using a sensory table would be part of this creative play time. There are various objects that students could explore with within the sensory table, such as sand, water, magnets, water toys, and beads. Up to four students could be using the water table at any given center time. With the rigor of kindergarten becoming more demanding all the time, we need to find the time to enable kids to simply be kids! Through play with a sensory table, students are practicing social skills, developing fine motor skills, and are solving problems.
