My students attend the Gateway Program housed on the Silverado Middle School campus in Napa, California. This program serves special education students in grades 6-8 who struggle both academically and behaviorally and are unable to maintain in the general education learning environment. These students require a highly structured learning environment in order to positively flourish. Our program offers a safe space for students to access the general education curriculum, along with modifications and accommodations as needed as well as access to social/emotional support that encourages growth both inside and outside of the classroom.

About my class
