None of my students, nor any student at North Brunswick High School, can be easily classified with a single label. They are a diverse group of young adults ranging from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds, each requiring something a little different than the last. It is my job to not only teach and guide them, but to provide for them an environment in which they have the opportunity to flourish and grow. The classroom environment that I foster is of high expectations and even higher support. While I do expect my students to work hard, I realize that in order to do so, they need my support. My students find that I treat them with the respect that I do any adult that I encounter. I am clear with my expectations and do not accept anything less than what I know they are capable of. As I get to know my students and learn their quirks and idiosyncrasies, it becomes easier reaching that relationship with the them.
