I plan to use the flexible seating option as an alternative to sitting in desks during lecture and individual work time. I believe students learn better when they have a choice. By giving students the option to choose where to sit they automatically have more skin in the game; they are already more engaged, and it will improve student participation. The students are more likely to enjoy and comprehend the lesson. Flexible seating will allow students to focus in a quiet corner on their own or join a group of peers around a table to collaborate. Making my classroom more comfortable with the Big Joe, and the exercise balls will enhance student learning, and engagement.
