My students are a wonderful mixture of four, five, and six year olds that have wild imaginations with a passion for learning. Many of my students grew up from the pockets of Charleston, South Carolina. I am greeted daily with smiles, laughter, and hugs as soon as they walk through the door at my school. They have a variety of personalities, ranging from determined to goofy to artistic. I love the differences in each one of my students, for they all make such a creative classroom. My school is a Title I school; we are 90% free and reduced lunch to our students, since the majority of the children come from low-income families. Our current student population is around 300 students. My school is located off a small, quiet, street, surrounded by palmetto trees and modern homes. The 70 year old building is deteriorating quickly, but it does not stop our students, staff, or administration from being kind to each other and working hard!
