In my opinion, there is no better opportunity for young students to gain experience with responsibility, curiosity, and knowledge than to care for an animal. In addition to these important life and academic skills, my students will get to experience the wonderment of a world far from their neighborhoods. The delicate nature and care that is required to care for marine ecosystems will build my students critical thinking and analytical skills while providing hands on experience with a complex biological system. My previous project got us a great start on the materials we need. It was called "Life is a MIRACLE!" Check it out!
