Donations to my "Not Your Grandma's Classroom" will inspire my students to work creatively. 25% of my students are special needs and this type of classroom setting will enable them to focus, participate, and engage in classroom instruction. 82.9% of my students live at or below the poverty level, so without this donation I would not be able to provide this experience for my students. We teach through project based learning and this environment will allow student the ability to collaborate more effectively. This year I will teach through center based instruction. This classroom setup will enhance my instruction and student engagement. Students will sign "contracts" to use the furniture properly and effectively. This will teach responsibility in my students.
