My students are a group of fun loving and rowdy 5th graders. They are a group of the most caring and lovable students that I have ever taught. My school is in a small rural town in Louisiana. Our school is a Title I school which means we receive very limited if any funding. 90 percent of our students have reduced lunches because their parents truly struggle to make ends meet. Our parents are some of the most hardworking caring people but they just struggle to make ends meet so most of the time our students do not have the materials that they need. Some of our students are homeless or living in a house that is barely livable. School is a safe haven for a lot of our students because they have issues at home that occupy most of their minds.
