These books will help further increase the love of reading independently within the classroom. My students have worked hard to become early readers and when they get to the point of reading independently I do not have books on their levels. Right now, I have a classroom library but I do not have leveled readers. I do many read aloud to increase the daily reading but they are not reading independently. I would love a place where my students really enjoy and read independently books and magazines on their level! With the help of this project being funded students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time.
