These materials will allow my students' social interactions with their classmates to promote teamwork and collaboration. My goal is to build a strong classroom community that does not involve independent activities or computer time. The following materials will be on a weekly rotation by table group. Upon entering and completing the morning routines of unpacking and making lunch choices, students may begin exploring, playing, interacting with the materials assigned to them for the week. They will have 15-20 minutes (depending on when they arrive) to interact before all materials will be put away for the day. It is my intention to build a strong sense of community within my classroom. I intend to implement these activities as "morning work" as my students enter the room to engage and promote social interactions as well as increase attendance and decrease tardiness, which are prevalent within my school.
