Creating a classroom that is culturally responsive is vital at a young age. I am requesting books and materials that represent my students' cultures, their family customs, and their individuality need to be relevant daily. Books are mirrors that reflect my students' experiences, their families, and self-image. I want my students have a classroom that promotes positive self-images and builds confidence in who they are. My goal is for my students to see themselves, their families, their traditions, and their beliefs represented, valued, and reaffirmed because they matter and they belong. Help me foster early childhood experience through a culturally relevant classroom.
