I have a class of sixteen wonderful special needs students. Ages are thirteen to seventeen, and have a wide range of abilities (Cognitive Impairment, Autism, Sensory issues, Emotional Impairment, Severe X Impairment). Our school is a Center Based Program for students who struggle in the general education setting. There are five staff members in my room to help students learn in smaller groups or one on one. We work on basic skills in reading and math, along with life skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene and job skills.
