Our student/athlete participants come from an area that is poverty stricken, low income families. This is my first year into the young school system that started varsity athletics 3 years ago. Our student/athletes are forced to participate in multiple sports throughout the school year and this does impose a financial burden on their families. Our school is a Title-1 Federal funding school that does not fund for extra curricula activities.
