My students are college bound and our high school has a rigorous curriculum to prepare them for college. Our school has computers available to use in the library before and after school, and laptop carts in the school to "rent", but with the growing trend of using the internet to enhance the classroom, laptops are increasingly hard to provide on a daily basis. In physics, our students use computers to do everything from program makeymakey circuits, to complete PHet simulations, to engaging with quizzes and content on google classroom, to completing assignments like lab reports. This project will help ensure that there are always computers available in the classroom to use on class projects and assignments. These laptops will help students analyze data, communicate with each other, complete assessments, and access physics content and simulations. Please help me better prepare my students for their future careers as STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) professionals by ensuring they have access to current technology today!
