Most of my students are ELL, low poverty and qualify for free or reduced meals. We also have a high population of migrant families traveling to and from California and Mexico. They need intensive reading intervention in small groups to make 1 to 1.5 years of growth to be at grade level. My students have little support at home due to language and resources, such as books and technology. My students are bright and eager for learning, but need an effective horseshoe group table for intensive reading instruction.
