My students enjoy coming to speech therapy. They range from the age of 5 - 11 and are diagnosed with autism and/or learning disabilities. They are children who love to be engaged and like exploring the different areas of the speech room. They enjoy reading, learning through hands-on activities, and the flexibility to move around the room while learning. My students attend a public school, in a high poverty neighborhood of the Bronx, New York. There is a lot of need but we have limited resources.
