Welcome to Mrs. Ferris's Physics Class Where: We endeavor to understand the world around us by investigating physical phenomena and making the connections to understand the relationship of those phenomena to our daily lives. Learning science by "doing science" is the only way to develop a deep understanding of concepts and how they apply to our personal lives. Forces, Light, Sound, Electricity, Magnetism and Energy take on a life of their own when we understand their importance and actually experience these phenomena rather than just read or talk about them. From taking thermal images with a FLIR camera and "seeing" heat, to actually causing objects to vibrate at their resonate frequencies, students experience phenomena to give them a personal understanding not a text book definition of the scientific principles. "You don't have to think outside of the box if you're not in one" "David Brown"
