My students come from very diverse backgrounds. I have a mix of boys and girls and with every diverse student comes a diverse story. However, many of them have one thing on common. My school has a free and reduced lunch population that exceeds 90%. Many students struggle with built-up anxiety, stress, and energy. It is extremely important to my students to have a safe and nurturing environment where they enjoy the process of learning every day. My students enjoy activities that involve movement and hands-on learning. I try to incorporate these types of activities as much as possible each day. For many, this is not enough. Bouncy Bands may be the answer and solution to give students the relief they need from the stress and anxiety of both their lives outside of school as well as in school.
