We are a large elementary school in a middle to low income area. Like in most schools, the clinic supplies are given through donations from the PTA but ours is unable to assist. We have basic needs but to care for these students we need more. Our kids are amazing! They absorb everything we teach them. Currently I am working with two of our young diabetic students to care for themselves by doing their own testing, giving their own insulin, and choosing better foods. It has been such a blessing watching their excitement as they learn new things about themselves.
