Scholars in my classroom would greatly benefit from receiving these iPads to use daily in the classroom. The iPads will be used during literacy and math centers each day. Students will record themselves reading aloud to practice fluency and language skills. Also, students will record themselves giving oral presentations that can be shared to classmates and parents. Using the iPads daily will give students the opportunity to be explorers, researchers, and creators, while building 21st century skills. Students in my classroom receive the majority, if not all, of their learning experiences in the school setting. So providing them with technology skills will help them have a variety of learning experiences and help them be more successful in life. Technology used more consistently in the classroom will greatly help assist in closing the achievement gap present.
