With a computer cart I would be able to meet every 9th grader's needs. There are a number of free programs that I would love to consistently utilize to push literacy levels beyond what I am currently able to do without technology in my room. Some of my students read at an elementary school level, others at a 12th grade level, and some don't speak any English. Computers allow for every student's needs to be met. Computers would allow some students to have their texts read aloud to them and others to complete independent research projects. They would allow supported independence for my 150 students. I have attended over 10 hours of technology in education trainings without the ability to act upon this knowledge. With computers I would use all of the information and programs I have learned about every single day.
