In our class this year, my students have been using sheet protectors and colored card stock as their individual whiteboards and by December, they aren't holding up so well. The students love to work out their math problems, show me their work, help explain to their group mates, and show the rest of their classmates that they understand concepts on their whiteboards. Taking into consideration that my students want to learn and engage, I want to give them every opportunity to do just that. Additionally, the student whiteboards encourage the students to conserve paper by using whiteboards instead of a piece of paper for their scratch work.
