My students will need to be ready to rise to the new standards. Kindergarten is the first school experience for most students. I want to have students engaged in centers throughout the day. I want my students to work in literacy and math centers throughout the day. I want my students to have games and materials for practice learning their alphabet, numbers and words. These games and activities will keep students engaged while the teacher works in small groups or one on one with some students. Since we will have a new curriculumn next year, it will help me manage my students in center time while I meet with students to accommodate their needs.
