In my classroom, I have one kidney shaped teacher table. This table is used for small group instruction during guided math and guided reading. By having stools at this table, it would encourage my students to use correct posture, instead of slouching, which will help them focus more on the assigned tasks. With these stools, they would maximize space in the classroom by being able to slide under the table easier than other chairs. This would also make for safer and quicker transitions during class. These stools will help my students feel comfortable, which means they will learn better and are able to be active learners, which will give them a better experience in my classroom.
