My students are 7-8 year olds in a very diverse population. Many of the students are from high poverty areas along with many ESL students and gifted students who are part of a magnet program. Learning to work together as a team requires a lot of interaction and movement. Our school is an out of the box type when it comes to meeting the needs or our students. We are always looking for ways to improve learning through multiple intelligences and letting kids be kids. In my classroom, movement is a must for this very active group of students.
