Students will learn that colors layered over each other will create a pallet of new colors that can be used in their work. They will explore making lighter and brighter hues. They will discover that the colors that they create by layering on paper will be richer then the ones straight out of the pan. Students will also learn how salt on wet watercolor will soak up the color leaving a new textured look on the paper. Lastly, they will experiment with how water reacts to wet and dry paper.
