Our school is a rural school, in the Mississippi Delta. Most of my students and in our district are considered poverty level. My students come to school desperately seeking my approval, attention, love, and wanting to learn as much as they can. They love art projects, technology, and math the most! Their reading skills are improving daily and are showing so much growth, and I am very proud of them! Our school district is considered a Critical Needs School district but our test scores show otherwise, in 2013-14 we were a 5 Star school (which is the highest ). Our students work very hard every year and their hard work shows not only in test scores but in their academics as well.
